So, the new configuration for my Style was set and ready to go, all I needed to do was sight it in and zero the turret. I also thought it might be a good idea to run the “box test” on the scope to verify it’s repeatability. Here’s what I came up with:
The first target is five distinct groups which were shot just for sighting in the new scope. The next target is the box test target. I fired three shots into the left bullseye, dialed up to number four on the elevation turret, held the same POA and fired three more, dialed to number four on the windage turret, held POA at the bullseye again and fired three shots, then dialed the elevation turret back to zero, held the POA and fired three, then dialed the windage turret back to zero and fired five shots into the bullseye on the right. It appears to be reliable as a repeatable scope albeit a little bit low and I am not thoroughly convinced. I did not spend a lot of time testing this on the day I was at the range and plan to perform the test again at least three more times to get more data points. Ultimately, the gun/scope combo appears to be accurate and reliable enough to get the job done, so I am going ahead with it, as is.
